Biography
Dr. Arshad obtained Ph.D degree from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in 2013. He worked as a visiting research scholar at University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, USA during 2012-2013. After that he joined Government College University, Faisalabad as Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in February, 2014 to date. Now a days he is working as a postdoctoral researcher in Food Chemistry Lab, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea. Currently he is working on a research project “Quality characteristics of e-beam irradiated frozen duck meat. His research interests are particularly on meat science and nutrition, utilization of natural/synthetic bioactive compounds specifically antioxidants in chicken. Dr. Arshad published more than 30 peer reviewed articles in well reputed Journals. Dr. Arshad also running a research project “Exploring the prophylactic role of wheat germ oil and α-lipoic acid against different life style disorders†He is also active member of Pakistan Society of Food Scientists and Technologists. He is actively participated in organizing different conferences/seminars in the field of Food Science and Halal Foods. Dr. Arshad also working as a Halal Lead Auditor with Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA).
